Although tendered for prior to the downturn, this was our first Access Self Storage project for a number of years. Consisting of over 100,000 square feet of storage space and associated reception areas, as well as 24 serviced offices over two floors, the project was completed on time and to budget.
The steel frame building houses a four-storey mezzanine, founded on a ground floor bearing slab for the storage area and two concrete floors for the offices. On the roof, 147 250W photovoltaic modules were fitted, providing energy to the building. Inserted into the envelope are a number of curtain wall systems with the largest on Bromley Road providing light and ventilation to the serviced offices on the first and second floor.
All the various elements involved in this project, including syphonic drainage, lift installations and external works, were coordinated and manged effectively, resulting in a successful project and a delighted client who occupied the building as soon as our works were complete.
